Job Description

Clairview is a growing CPA-led U.S.–Canada tax and accounting firm serving individuals and businesses with U.S., Canadian and cross-border tax needs. We are looking for a bright, ambitious and highly trainable Tax Associate who wants to build a long-term career in taxation. This is an entry-level position, and extensive tax experience is not required. We are specifically interested in someone with strong academic ability, excellent attention to detail, curiosity and a genuine desire to learn.

Academic Qualifications & Skills

  • Rigorous Academic Background: A B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Final year students are also welcome to apply).
  • Professional Track Realignment: Progress toward ICAG, ICAN or an ATSWA qualification is an advantage but not required.
  • Obsessive Attention to Detail: A natural instinct to cross-check numbers twice, follow strict standard operating procedures (SOPs), and eliminate clerical errors entirely.
  • Proactive Investigative Skills: Comfortable navigating ambiguous, non-standard client files by independently researching IRS codes and CRA tax folios.
  • High-Volume Stamina: The speed and mental agility to process a high volume of tax files under tight deadlines during peak tax seasons.
  • Technical Fluency: Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel formulas, data manipulation) and a fast learning curve for cloud-based software.
  • Long-Term Vision: A desire to build a definitive, multi-year career in international taxation, not just find a temporary job.

Required Technical Competencies:
